Powered by the renowned Kubota D1105 diesel turbo engine, the LM281 is a flexible, full time 4-wheel drive triplex cylinder mower with the strength to cut large swathes of longer grass and the finesse to produce an approach quality finish.

In keeping with all Baroness machines, simplicity is the key, with the minimum of control systems and no complicated electronics, yet retaining the engineering integrity and quality that Baroness is known for.
Rear gull wing opening ensures easy access and room for maintenance. All cutting cylinders can be positioned outwards for easy accessibility and maintenance.
The levers have been ergonomically positioned for ease of operation and reduced operator fatigue during prolonged usage.
At the heart of every Baroness reel mower is the cutting cylinder and bedknife. No-one takes more care than Baroness. Every cutting cylinder is individually balanced before being installed and our heat treatment process ensures that the cutting edges of both our cutting cylinders and bedknives stay sharp and true.
The Baroness LM285 design features simplicity, a major focus point when Baroness designed the LM285. Our engineers created a light weight, sturdy mower with exceptional power to weight ratio. By reducing the weight we could reduce the horsepower requirements allowing for better fuel consumption. With its light weight and manoeuvrability the LM285 enables the operator to cut at an unmatched pace while leaving the rough stress-free. The Kubota Diesel Turbo engine is hidden under a gull wing design cover allowing for easy access to the engine making daily and scheduled maintenance routine.
Baroness’ LM285 5-Gang Rough & Fairway Mower is powered by a powerful Kubota D1105 turbo diesel engine, accompanied by the strongest highest-quality reels and bedknives in the industry. The LM285 is equipped with the ability to lift either outer arm independently, allowing access to narrow areas which would not normally be accessible to regular mowers. The twin traction drive pump arrangement means the LM285 has strong climbing ability and unmatched balance on hills. Customers have a choice of a grooved front roller or caster wheels on the front of the cutting unit. The reels come in 5, 7 or a 9 blade, allowing you to match the mower to your individual turf conditions.
